Medical staff used gauze to stop the bleeding, and she stayed in the hospital for two nights.

“I didn’t want my parents knowing I’d had sex,” she said, knowing sex was taboo in her South Asian culture.
A Call for Better Education
“First time sex is definitely not meant to be inherently painful.” She now advocates for honest, pleasure-focused sex education to prevent others from suffering like she did.
