Graham Greene, the acclaimed Canadian actor best known for his roles in The Green Mile and Dances with Wolves, has died at the age of 73.

Greene is survived by his wife, Hilary Blackmore, their daughter, Lilly Lazare-Greene, and son, Tarlo Greene. His career spanned more than four decades across film, television, theatre, and audio productions.
Born in Six Nations Reserve, Ontario, Greene began his acting journey in the late 1970s. He worked in theatre and on Canadian television before making his film debut in Running Brave (1983).
His breakthrough came in 1990 with Kevin Costner’s Dances with Wolves, in which he played Kicking Bird, a thoughtful Sioux holy man. The performance earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor and international recognition.
