In 2010, April Webster and Nathan Fishbourne became the United Kingdom’s youngest parents when their son, Jamie, was born. Both were only 14 at the time, having discovered April’s pregnancy when she was 13. Their story, originating in Caerphilly, South Wales, drew national and international attention, sparking public debate and mixed reactions

The teenagers’ relationship began as a typical school romance at St. Cenydd School but changed drastically when April became pregnant. Her parents were shocked, and she initially felt embarrassed to admit what had happened. Nathan’s parents were also disappointed but decided to support their son, vowing to stand by him and the baby.

When Jamie was born via cesarean section in November 2010, he faced early medical challenges due to a malformed oesophagus but recovered after surgery. April’s family rallied around her, with her mother and sister helping her adjust to motherhood. Nathan lived nearby with his parents, and though they discussed shared custody, their relationship soon became uncertain.

By 2014, April and Nathan had separated. April, who had left school to care for Jamie full-time, focused on raising her son with the support of her family. She expressed no regrets about her choices and planned to continue her education later.

As time passed, both moved forward positively. April, now known as April Lianna, is a mother of three—Jamie, Ava Lianne, and Rowan David—and is in a happy relationship with Jake Jones. Her social media reflects a stable and loving home life.

Nathan also appears to be thriving; he became engaged to Samantha in 2023 and now has a family of his own. Despite their early challenges, both April and Nathan have built fulfilling lives and remain caring parents to their children.
